Happiness a day, counting down to 2009

Turning on the radio (the classical music station) just as the host of the program was introducing a new choral piece composed and performed in honor of The Winter Solstice.

The piece itself was rather serious and dirge-sounding, so that was a bit of a buzzkill. But it was still nice, for a moment to feel like I belonged to a wider community outside my niche community, if you know what I mean.
