I'm really pleased at how the program icons fit between ze's hands. Though I wonder how long it will be before it becomes too cheerful.

And now, you know what programs I keep most easily to hand -- the clearest picture of my life's priorities!

Hee! I just switched my desktop to a really bummed-out dude with a teapot on his head – it's a funny contrast. And the icons fitting between ze's hands is a nice touch.

Well, the teapot-on-the-head motif (? is that the right word?) is just the amount of absurdity needed to keep your desktop from being entirely depressing...

...and I've just spent an hour or more fiddling and fine-tuning my desktop settings: changing the default colors for message buttons, active/inactive title bars, and the like, to better coordinate with my fuchsia and yellow-dominated background.

Now, my whole monitor is lollipop-colored.

My immediately-previous desktop had this monster:
flying out at me from a swirl of multicolored (but grayish and pastel-toned) storm clouds.

I'm still fond of my "Pentops Monster" but over-familiarity was leading to acquired invisibility syndrome. And sometimes, a 180-degree turn is called for.

And the icons fitting between ze's hands is a nice touch

Added (and unplanned) benefit: it also places all my most used programs directly in front of my eyes-at-rest, so I don't have to scan the screen, finding what I want.

Nice! The design in the background reminds me of Aztec art.

That's what you get when you're using "mouse keys" instead of an actual mouse, and can only move your cursor, vertically, horizontally, or diagonally -- it's like an Etch-a-Sketch with only one added layer of complexity. ;-)

Diggin' the psychedelic background. It's pretty groovy if I may say so myself.

You may say so! Thank you! Fuchsia is one of my most favorite colors ever, especially to wear, and it saddens me when I go looking for clothes, and realize that it seems to have gone out of style 20 years ago, and not come back into style.

So the thought occurred to me that this is one way I could give myself a big whopping dose of it every day (until I decide to change things up, again).
